Oh man I have forgottenhow cold cold really is. We were in Madrid at the weekend and it was biter. We arrived friday and the weather was fine we even had the window open. Saturday lunchtim it want from no wind and bright sunshine to wind and rain. I didn't have the right clothes and Thomas didn't even have a jacket so that needed a quick trip to a sports shop. We bought his jacket for 10 euros on offer which was a great deal. Kenny has his eye on it and Thomas says he can take it to Vienna in December when he goes.
We went to see Spain play football against Turkey. I had been looking for an away game really but the only one in our group was against Belgium and the dates were not suitable for us. So it needed to be a home game. The best game was always going to be against Turkey and from when it was announced to be in Madrid we planned on going. Jenny and Adolfo came with us and we all had a great time. Spain won 1-0 and at midnight we were on our way back to the hotel. The underground was packed and we finally caught a train about 12.45 but mostly they were going to the south and we were going to the north so one we were on the train we all had a seat.
Sunday morning we got up at 8 after going to bed at 2 with the hour change making it 3 and were all tired. We caught the underground to madrid airport which was cheaper then the taxi we caught on the way in and more pleasant as one of the taxi drivers was really rude. We were home by 2pm and shot straingh up to Santa Cruz to watch C.D. Tenerife play against Cordoba. As they won we are now leaders in the 2nd division and hope to go up this year.
