Guijelo at home

This Sunday we play Guijuelo at home. In theory this should an easy game but the little teams have caused a lot of difficulties.
Aridane and Javi Moyano are out due to accumulation of yellow cards and the blue and white coach Cervera yesterday said Guillem Martí will be starting as our forward. The other player who is expected to start for the first time this season is Sergio Rodriguez. Hopefully his patience will pay off and he will play well.
There has been a lot if talk about the financial problems the club is facing. There is no doubt in Segunda B with little income there are problems but earlier in the week the management issued a calming statement which seems to have reassured the fans. Going back up to professional football would be a great help for income. Just the TV money would change from 30,000 euros which RTVC paid this year to the 2,500,000 which was signed with Canal Plus for Segunda.
We will be in the stadium tomorrow and hope to see you then.

Thinking time

I have been a football fan for most of my life.
I have always enjoyed going to games home and away, but like every fan you have your ups and downs.
The last 2 days I had a very bad down. Like everybody who was in Madrid and had to watch how bad we played was demoralized and the final straw was the hellish trip home. You think to yourself : Is it really worth it. And today Wednesday I will answer you - YES IT IS. It is worth the suffering and the hurt, because after bad times always comes good times.
Good times will come for us again, we just have to hang on and keep supporting.
I am now looking forward to Sundays game and I hope many of you will feel the same and we will be there together to support our colours .

New year

Sunday was a great game. 2-0 win is always good to see but it was more than that. The club made an outstanding effort to see the fans in the stands. Although Ephifany isn't really important in the UK, in Spain it is a highlight in the year. This is the day the three kings bought presents and therefore the day presents ate exchanged throughout Spain. A difficult day then to have the fans in the stadium at 12am. Prices for the entrance tickets were slashed. Season ticket holders could bring their children free. The radio stations gave away entrance tickets with charitable giving. And the turn out showed, nearly 6,000 people turned up to see the team win. More than the two teams in Segunda that played at the same time.
As for the game, the players took to the field with enthusiasm. Suso who had a very tough week losing a family member went all out to score goals for his loved one, but the whole side looked stronger than that have for a while. Once again Cristo Martin played with enthusiasm, Chechu seemed to be everywhere at once and Moyano recovered ball after ball.
In defence it was great to see two youth players, Bruno and Jesus giving everything. Sergio didn't have much to do but as ever was there giving his all.
This win puts the team three points ahead of the rest and gives the team a gap especially as they play Marino at home next Sunday.
